Born and raised in Queens, New York, Bonny John was born to immigrant parents from India. Growing up in apartments all over Queens, Bonny had a balanced exposure to his Indian heritage while embracing American culture.
He began drawing at an early age literally on the walls around him, which had to be painted over every time his family had to move. Fortunately photos exist that document his early experiments! With encouragement from his mother to hone his talent for the craft (a rare gesture from most people from such an ethic background) alongside developing the willpower and determination from a father who worked two jobs his whole life to support his family.
His parents sacrifices and his own personal risks motivate him to continue his efforts in the hope of ensuring a job in the field.
Bonny currently resides in Central Florida and is looking to return to New York or anywhere his art may take him. In his spare time, Bonny enjoys catching up on his Netflix queue, walking his dog Koda, and daydreaming about all that he wants to accomplish with his art.
